Another soggy day with showers and storms
The weather pattern over the last few days remains in place with some subtle differences for Wednesday and Thursday.
Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy and comfortable with highs in the upper 70s. More showers and thunderstorms are expected for many throughout the rest of the day. Do not drive through flooded roadways!
We do have slightly better rain chances today, but it’s not until later in the day and it won’t be much.
A cold front sparked off a few heavy storms over Northeastern Alabama on Saturday morning and again in the afternoon. Temperatures are near 80 degrees. Highs this weekend with climb into the mid 80s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. High 87.
A severe-weather warning across part of Florida was extended south to Broward County on Monday, as the National Weather Service warned that things could get windy, hot and wet.
Once Wednesday’s storm system moves through, more dry air will move in. Can’t rule out a slim shower chance.
Tomorrow: Partly sunny, isolated shower/storm? Friday another weak front tries to slip through the area.
We’ll continue to monitor the storm potential closely and keep you updated! All in all, a pretty tame late July outlook.
During the evening, there is a 50-50 chance for more showers and thunderstorms. Additional warnings are possible at any time as more showers and downpours ride the tropical rain train up the East Coast. Temperatures are in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Friday A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m.
