‘Ant-Man’ post credits scenes preview ‘Civil War’ and new Avengers character
The Fantastc Four has been rumored to be a trainwreck, but the latest trailers are helping turn that opinion around.
Also, the “accords” they mentioned are likely a variation of the Registration Act from the comics and they are introduced in the movie prior to this scene. Eventually, he reveals that she had joined him on his missions under the name Wasp in a suit that basically looked like a variation of Ant-Man that could fly.
What’d you think of “Ant-Man”?
It’s a great scene because it teases the direction so many have hoped Marvel would finally veer into: the inclusion of more female superheroes – either in standalone films are included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s their first Legacy film. Okay, what he figured out was a way to decrease the distance between molecules allow for objects to shrink. There’s nothing, in particular, to recommend this movie over the dozens of others you could watch. This is the first movie that is a hand off of a costume/hero from one to the next. Future Marvel movies might answer that question! Or will our newest hero have ants in his trousers? And when it was getting close to too serious. A comedic beat would bring it back. But he’s old and has hung up the character’s signature Ant suit. Having been a cat burglar he is used to tense situation and with the lighter tone his comic timing is well used here. Stoll’s villain suffers the most with not a lot on his backstory, which can often happen in an origin movie.
Dr Pym persuades Scott to don the suit to stop Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) who (naturally) wants to use the technology for bad and not good.
Doesn’t Hank Pym have some pretty controversial storylines?
Some fans will understandably take issue with the treatment of the female characters, but if you can go into the film knowing that it really is a movie about the two Ant-Men (no matter what the promotional material indicates), I think you’ll find that aspect easier to accept. Bullets the size of Buicks whizzing by him. It’s smart and amusing, with a great story and fantastic action. But this movie is grounded in the MCU from the start.
Pratt made his blockbuster debut in last year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”, before starring in this year’s record-breaking “Jurassic World“. Ant-Man will also feature in the film, but we don’t yet know if they will share scenes.
Funnyman Paul Rudd, who is best known for his roles in cult classics like “Clueless” and “Anchorman”, may seem like an unusual choice for the superhero lead in Marvel’s new action adventure, “Ant-Man”. Scott’s daughter becomes a pivotal character, which would be fine, except the language in this movie makes it unacceptable for children.
Ant-Man is in cinemas from today (17 July).
