Anthony scores 29 as Knicks down T-Wolves

Towns had one of the best quarters of the National Basketball Association season, when he dropped 22 points on 8-for-8 shooting in the first.

Towns was Rookie of the Year last season, Porzingis the runner-up. There’s clearly still a lot of room for improvement, and some of his help defense has been rather poor as of late, but offensively he’s doing more all the time. I’ll look dumb shooting all those shots I shot in Chicago with this team and with the talent we have with this team.

Though they will miss the services of Wiggins, there is still Shabazz Muhammad who can take his place.

While the two youngsters are arguably the best up-and-coming post players on the court, it’s the way that Porzingis and Towns carry themselves off the court that is equally impressive. Here’s the kicker, if Anthony doesn’t make that shot he takes the blame for another Knicks loss.

It’s just too easy. Their point guard play has been subpar, their bench nearly nonexistent and Thibodeau has not yet parlayed his mastery of strategy and Xs and Os into a workable formula for this particular group.

From Towns being such a competent three-point shooter to the space that threat creates for others, he’s elevating the Timberwolves’ offense.
