Anti-Corruption Branch files FIR against Dikshit and Kejriwal
A day after he was booked in the water tankers scam along with his predecessor Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to scare him through such actions. The FIR was reportedly registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, along with two other sections on hatching of a criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust by a public servant and misuse of power.
“But when we forced him to file the report; and after we saw the report, it was very clear that those companies which were supplying water tankers had paid some money to Shiela Dikshit or the government at that time”, he said.
He said he will raise his voice against Modi “shielding” Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Anandiben Patel, who he alleged were involved in the Vyapam scandal, controversy over former IPL boss Lalit Modi’s immigration application and a land scam respectively.
“All the investigation agencies are under you – the CBI, Police, ACB. I just want to say one thing, Narendra Damodardas Modiji, I am not going to get scared or shaken”, Kejriwal hit out.
“No CBI raid was conducted against Robert Vadra, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, no FIR was registered against them”, he said.
“The government sat on the fact-finding committee report for 11 months after it had been submitted in July 2015”.
The Lt Governor had forwarded the committee’s report as well as Gupta’s complaint to the ACB. “The scam is on as no official has been punished yet”, said Gupta. “And, since ACB has filed an FIR, Mr. Kejriwal must quit for a fair and transparent probe”.
Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay has said that the government should “immediately clarify” its position on the high security vehicle registration plate alleged “scam”.
