A day after speaking his mind over the intolerance comments, a case was filed against Bollywood hero Aamir Khan for commenting upon the “Intolerance in India” that hurt many across the nation.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman on Tuesday said the intolerance debate in India is becoming “chaotic”, adding “we should set an example by resorting to non-violent ways to protest”. In the last 6-8 months, there has been a growing sense of despondency. “Conflicting narratives over Award Wapsi suggest that India is a tolerant nation”.

Actor, director and producer Khan told a ceremony organised by The Indian Express newspaper that a sense of “insecurity” and “fear” had been growing in India.
