App Store to offer personalised recommendations
The report, citing unidentified sources familiar with Apple’s plans, has revealed that the redesigned version of the Apple Store app will provide personalized product recommendations to customers, on the basis of their past purchases.
This news was confirmed by Bloomberg which stated that Apple will feature “For You” tab in Apple Store that will be filled with a suggestion to buy new products based on the prior orders from Apple Store.
The update will also see an alignment of the App Store across both iPhone and iPad, which now use slightly different versions of the application library. But it hasn’t offered tailored suggestions up to this point. Right now, the Apple Store app for iPhone and iPad carry their own design languages with the iPad app focusing on interactive photo galleries. If you are facing a sort of activation problem while installing the iOS 9.3.3 update, we suggest you hit the Apple support forums and ask for help.
The Apple Store app may be in line for a revamp that will steer you to products it thinks you’ll buy. A spokesman for Apple declined to comment on the matter.
The “For You” product recommendations will roll out before Apple’s fall hardware announcements, which could help the company drive additional sales while customers browse. It seems the interface on both iPhone and iPad will be aligned with each other, making them look similar. Apple never releases any details about its products before its big release events, so all we can do is speculate and take our best guess. Most probably, Apple will improve its revenue structure by the introduction of this system. Possibly using differential privacy to protect purchase history.
