Apple drops plans for smaller iPhone 6C, claims analyst

Un-carrier customers stream more than 131 million songs each day in the U.S. T-Mobile highlighted that if AT&T customers played the same number of songs then they will end up paying over $2.3 billion a year.

T-Mobile’s pretty sure a new iPhone is coming. The more definitive “deal” aspect to this announcement is that it will lock in the older iPhone’s $15 per month leasing plan ($19 per month for the iPhone 6 Plus). This new model is poised to use of Qualcomm’s MDM9x35 modem, which supports double the download speeds of the prior-generation MDM9x25 used in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

“Music Freedom, a pretty sweet “#Uncarrier” initiative from T-Mobile, makes sure that streamed tunes from various music apps don’t eat into your allotted data. However, T-Mobile US countered that the new JUMP on Demand program is now included in the pricing instead of being an additional $10 per month on the legacy plan.

“On Demand” installment plan can swap it for the next iPhone without any new fees “and no change to your monthly payment”. According to Arcuri, Apple may have decided not to go ahead with the iPhone 6c, as the mini iPhone could eat into the sales of the iPhone 6, which was doing exceptionally well.

Legere also announced that the company will be replacing iTunes Radio with Apple Music on its free music-streaming program called Music Freedom.

The next Apple iPhone won’t be announced until later this year, but we’re already starting to catch glimpses of what it will look like.
