Apple Has Decided To Make Samsung’s Edge Displays Useful
The most significant changes for the iPhone 7 appear to be the thickness of the new model, the removal of a headphone jack and a thinner Lightning port.
But as well as being a standout hit in the UK, Apple’s smallest current handset is proving a global hit, behind only the iPhone 6s/6s Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge in terms of sales.
“Foxconn has been trying glass chassis since previous year”, reports NIKKEI.
“Apple is obviously being driven now not by even iPhone, although the iPhone 7 matters, but whether there’s a delta, a big delta.in service revenues”, said Cramer, the portfolio manager for the Action Alerts PLUS Charitable Trust Portfolio, which owns Apple. Were we supposed to get a glass iPhone this year, maybe? “The single lens edition has since been ditched, the source said”.
The only hint at what the next iPhones will be called came from a sketchy rumor from a German Apple blog called Apfelpage.de, which claimed it will be called the “iPhone SE”.
Market experts have commented that the upcoming iPhone 7 may not live up to the hype.
The Nikkei report adds that Apple will not be producing a third variant of the smartphone this year. He also stated that the 5.5-inch model of iPhone 7 would most likely feature a dual-lens camera system with the technology borrowed from LinX Imaging, which means the standard 4.7-inch models still lags behind advanced photographic capabilities. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 generation early next month, while a successor to the iPhone SE, which is enjoying “strong demand”, should come later down the road.
Responding to the development, an unknown source, who declined to reveal the identity, revealed to a popular tech portal that this has never happened before. This was later followed by iPhone chassis maker Catcher Technology’s chairman Allen Horng himself coming to the fore and disclosing Apple’s future plans to investors.
Apple’s premium models, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been struggling to attract customers across the globe since the start of 2016.
Overall, EU5 figures show an increase of just 0.7 percent for iOS, but at least it’s an increase, with Apple’s platform now at 18.2 percent.
In the United Kingdom, the iPhone SE was the top selling device in the quarter at 9.2 percent, followed by the iPhone 6s at 9.1 percent.
