Apple iOS 9 Enhances Performance and Security on iPad, iPhone, iPod
iOS 9 will roll out in less than a month, and Apple has been hard at work ensuring that their new operating system functions smoothly across all new devices and platforms. This exploit allows an app to be replaced with one that has certain identical attributes, but originally required a user to trust an enterprise certificate, or carry out another step to accept an app. The trend for iOS has been falling for the past two quarters and its rival, Android has been gaining at iOS’s expense. Previously, it was only restricted to having the users double press the home button and control among the Applications.
The frequent transition between the applications will be very helpful during presentations and looks like a good approach overall as this will increase productivity thanks to iOS 9.
But the iOS is by no means invincible, as the same post mentioned that Morey Haber, vice president of the software security company BeyondTrust, reported that there were 127 flaws discovered in Apple’s operating system in 2014 alone. Along with the fix that went out with updates for iOS 8 that fixed the crashing string of text that could be sent to phones and other devices, the lock security for the phone looks to be more complex, even on the surface. With the latest iOS 9, iPad Air users can use either the new six-digit passcode or Touch ID to unlock the device, the Dispatch Times reports. Now, without the passcode even the government will not be able to break into your iPhone. Apple has already told investors of its plans to build alliances with business-app developers, cited by The Wall Street Journal, and sees this “mobility partner program” as one way to stem the downward flow of iPad sales which have fallen for the last six financial quarters. This will be known as Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11. The spotlight has some issues that could stop the user from using it.
There have been problems in the past after the release of iOS8 and Mac OS X Yosemite and Apple is hoping users will not experience these after the release to the open public.
The next iPhone will probably be announced on the 9th of September.
