Apple iPhone wireless charging likely by 2017

It remains to be seen if the new campaign will drive interest in the iPhone 6S in order to jumpstart sales growth.

One of the photographers featured in the latest campaign is Erin Brooks, whose portrait of her three-year-old daughter (above) shot on an iPhone 6s Plus was posted on Instagram and picked by Apple.

The company is expected to release the iPhone 5SE with a smaller, 1642mAh battery as the device will not be needing a large battery due to a smaller screen. In a 2012 interview with now-defunct tech blog AllThingsD, Apple SVP Phil Schiller said, “Having to create another device you have to plug into the wall is actually, for most situations, more complicated”.

Rumors are also swirling that Apple plans to ditch headphone jacks for the next version of the iPhone, meaning wireless headphones would come standard.

While the rumored iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are anticipated to make up Apple’s 2016 flagship lineup, the iPhone 5se could be the year’s hottest model.

Bloomberg reports that Apple is working to develop a charger that can restore a battery even when the smartphone is not placed on top of the charging device.

So, in the end, the dual-camera technology is going to significantly improve the image quality of the new iPhone 7-that is if Apple is planning to incorporate the technology with it. Some sources, though, have suggested that the improved A9 found in last year’s iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus could be included.

Both cameras on the special iPhone 7 Plus will pack 12-megapixel sensors, Kuo says, but one camera will be dedicated to a wide-angle view while the other will have a 2-3x telephoto lens.

If the rumors are indeed true, the dual camera system will probably be designed by leveraging LinX’s technology.

Kuo believes that Apple will hand Foxconn the exclusive contract to manufacture the iPhone 5SE, with the East Asian company having produced solid work in relation to previous Apple releases.

In addition to iPhone 5SE, Apple is also expected to unveil iPhone 7 in September, continuing its phablet trend. Elsewhere, the maximum storage of the iPhone 5SE is likely to be 64GB, thus distinguishing it from the existing iPhone 6S.
