Apple Launches iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan Public Betas
These are beta releases, after all, and may still have some bugs and quirks.
Other minor (or major, depending on who you ask) updates include proper casing in the virtual keyboard to denote lowercase or capital letters, a toolbar for Bluetooth keyboards that adds word prediction and quick cut / copy / paste tools, and a cascading cards system for recent apps.
Be warned, because this is effectively unfinished software there may well be bugs that affect the way your iPhone or iPad works. Also, there will be a new recovery system through text messages or a phone call directly from an Apple employee which will review your case and decide if you are yourself (or not). However, Apple warns it “may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software”. The Sydney Morning Herald said that users can sign up at Apple’s beta website to be able to grab the software using iTunes and experience it first hand. The betas of both operating systems were made accessible to registered developers last month, but now the public betas are free for all and users now don’t need a developer ID, which costs at $99 annually.
iOS 9 will have a special new place for storing selfies and screenshots.
Quicktype gets an upgrade with the latest iOS as well.
There’s also deep app searching directly from the Spotlight screen, allowing users to search for information within third-party apps on the iPhone and iPad. Devoted Apple apostles can expect a more active and adaptive Siri that will execute more requests with more versatility.

News app “follows over a million topics” and pulls in news based on specific interests, without compromising privacy, according to Apple.
Once you have the new OS installed, you can provide feedback to Apple using a built-in Feedback Assistant app, which can be launched from your Dock or by selecting “Send Feedback” from your Help menu.
