Apple May Unveil an Enhanced Edition of iPhone 5S in April
The new phone is reported to be an improved version of the iPhone 5S: Apple is essentially said to be taking the guts of the iPhone 6 and stuffing them into the 5S’s smaller body.
The photo released on the One More Thing forum claims to be the 4-inch iPhone expected to be unveiled in an Apple event in March.
Based on resources, the iPhone 5se is likely to not be dissimilar to the 5s when it comes to style, but may sport curved-glass noticeable about the iPhone 6s and brand new variations. The iPhone 5se will also come with barometer including connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE, Wi-Fi. For a preview of how the phone might perform, take a look at the sixth-generation iPod Touch, which also pairs an Apple A8 chip with a 4-inch screen.
While a 4-inch iPhone is nothing new for Apple, the company has made that screen size unavailable in its latest two iPhone lineups: both the iPhone 6 and 6S are only available with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays.
A new video purported to be that of the iPhone 5se / 6c should be proof enough of Apple still harboring ambitions in the ever-burgeoning budget smartphone segment as well. In September previous year, Apple had partnered with Hermes to launch special leather bands for the Apple Watch.
The presence of a dedicated headphone jack makes for an interesting proposition considering the next-gen iPhone 7 is likely to give the feature a miss.
For the new bands, Apple may be expanding its partnerships beyond Hermes.
