Apple Offers Discount Up To Rs 34000 This Dhanteras
The buyback scheme is available across all major Apple retailers including Reliance digital and Ezone.
If you happen to own an iPhone 6 or select Samsung flagship phones, it’s now easier to get your hands on the new iPhones. Apple is offering substantial discounts on the smartphones.
In a first, Apple is offering discount on its latest iPhones in less than a month of its launch. The other three distributors will also follow suit since the United States company wants to achieve its target of trebling sales during the October-December quarter over past year.
The iPhone 6S and 6 Plus were launched recently for a price ranging between ₹ 62,000 and ₹ 92,000. The sales of the present models are down 15 percent to 20 percent when compared to last year’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales. Nonetheless it is no reason that the talk about the next generation will stop. iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus were showcased in the market merely two months ago and they are selling like hot cakes at the moment. Under the scheme, Apple and its distributors will be buying back old models so that all transactions are genuine. The fact that the previous generation iPhone was cheaper by Rs. 8,500 to Rs. 9,000 ($128 to $136) by comparison could be a factor.
For instance, Ingram Micro, an Apple iPhone distributor, has rolled out the buyback scheme in a few Apple stores and multi-brand retail stores in South India. This buyback scheme will soon come into effect nationwide.
The e commerce portal has also extended the buyback offer for iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone 5s. A separate website is created by Apple, where details of old handsets can be uploaded by retailers against which new models can be bought. The buyback offer comes at a time when the latest iPhones are getting sold at 7-11% discount since last week in ecommerce marketplaces such as Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.
