Apple plans March event, new watch expected
More than the phone, we are keen to see how the new Apple Watch 2 will turn out. The company has been working on a new camera, wireless Internet without a nearby iPhone, sleep tracking and health sensors for the next device in the line. The specs of this 4-inch brand new iPhone model will fall between the specifications of iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s.
Last year, Apple used a March event to introduce the Apple Watch and the new 12-inch MacBook. In March 2012, Apple launched that first iPad with a Retina display. Apple isn’t offering a similar price cut on its website, so you’d better head over to But Buy instead if you’re planning to buy an Apple Watch this Christmas, because they now start at just $249. However, latest rumours say otherwise, suggesting a metal design iPhone resembling the iPhone 5S.
Another bit of information was revealed by 9to5Mac in their Apple Watch 2 report, but not about the wearable.
The Verge reports iPhone 6c will feature Apple’s A9 processor and NFC for Apple Pay functionality. The company also unveiled they finalized version of the Apple Watch. We need to understand that the 4-inch variant will serve a niche of buyers who would not mind trading off the large screen experience for a small screened device that will fit comfortably in one’s palm, thus facilitating one handed operations. If reports are true, however, 2016 may bring the next generation of the line with the release of an iPhone 6c. Since there is a market for a smaller-sized iPhone, Apple sees an opportunity to introduce a cheaper smartphone that budget-conscious consumers can get behind. As for its other features, iDigitalTimes noted that according to rumors, the Apple Watch 2 will house a front-facing camera which will allow owners to use the device to make FaceTime calls.
With this in mind it seems likely that an Apple Watch event would also include a launch of the new 4in iPhone, which is said to come in a colourful metalic case (rather than the iPhone 5c plastic case).
