Apple Plans to Introduce Wireless Charging Technology For iPhones and iPads
Yes folks, you have read that correctly, we are not waiting for one product; we are expecting three of them to be unveiled during the company’s March 15 announcement. As the event is still a month and a half away, the possibility of the event shifting to another date is probable.
If this lives up, we will see an iPhone 7 with a drastically changed design where it will have a curved body and feature no home button.
The iPhone 5SE therefore materializes as the iPhone 6s in a smaller 4-inch form factor that acknowledges its rich heritage of 4-inch phones that paved the way for the company’s domination of the high end smart phone market. In addition to a faster A8 processor and new motion coprocessor, the 5se is slated to pack an NFC chip, thus enabling Apple Pay functionality on the device.
Apart from these two main showstoppers, Apple is expected to unveil new Apple Watch Sport bands in various colours as well as some high-end accessories, including new bands from retailer Hermès and a black Milanese Loop band.
A purported leaked image of the so-called iPhone 5se seems to confirm the 4-inch display, and a more rounded silhouette as opposed to the iPhone 5s’ sleek, straight chamfered edges. Later in the year Apple is set to reveal the next generation of iPhone-the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Instead Apple is rumored to present new software for the Watch, so consumers will have to settle for a consolation prize. The iPhone 5se will be available starting at $450 for the 16GB model and also be offered as a 64GB model, according to Gurman. The new model is expected to have iPad Pro features such as enhanced speakers and a smart connector -which could potentially lead to Apple creating a smaller keyboard.
Releasing a smartphone in the first half of the year would be uncharacteristic of Apple, a company that typically hosts one big iPhone launch every September.
As for dimensions, Engdaget reported that the upcoming tablet from Apple will be 0.05 mm thicker and 0.1 mm wider than its predecessor iPad Air 2.
