Apple plans to revamp its MacBook Pro line this year
Another 9to5Mac report guarantees that the new cutting edge MacBooks will launch later this fall with new additions including a Touch ID incorporated Power Button. The sensor would allow users to log in more quickly and theoretically authenticate Apple Pay purchases. At the very least, though, it seems reasonable to expect Touch ID, and the OLED touch display bar, to arrive in some form with the new MacBook Pro.
The MacBook Pro has additionally been supposed to shake things up with a touch OLED panel, thinner design, and will come with USB-C ports. Apple hasn’t confirmed anything as yet about its future MacBook plans. Supposedly, the new bar strip will replace the function bar on top of the 2016 MacBook’s keyboard, and will change functions depending on the opened app now being used.
The iPhone 7 and 2016 MacBook Pro have both been in the news lately amid a flood of leaks revealing key details about the two. It also said that Apple choose AMD’s new Polaris chips particularly to offer the slim design and power efficiency required for a MacBook Pro. Back in May, rumors swirled that Apple was slimming down the 13- and 15-inch Pro models while also planning to add a touchscreen panel to the keyboard.
The report also goes on to say that Touch ID will be included and will be beside the new touch bar. Now, one decade later, we’re finally gearing up for what might be the biggest MacBook Pro update yet. The smaller display will use Organic Light-Emitting Diodes, a thinner, lighter and sharper screen technology, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier this year. The new device also has another feature of Touch ID references, suggesting some additional options.
Other potential changes include the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack (depending on whether or not they decide to remove it from the iPhone 7), 4G connectivity, and an Apple Pencil-compatible trackpad.
Apple is all set to give the long overdue revamp to its MacBook Pro range of laptops, later this year.
