Apple Posts New iPhone 6s Ads Featuring Jamie Foxx, Steph Curry
As you can guess by its name, the ad highlights all of the new camera features found on iPhone 6s, including front-facing Retina Flash and higher-quality selfies, 1080p slow-mo video, Live Photos, 4k video, and 3D Touch shortcuts.
Add National Basketball Association champion Stephen Curry to the list of celebrities joining the Apple endorsement team. The ad highlights how the new camera and accompanying apps change how the user is able to “take a photo, find a photo, share a photo” and more.
In addition to the Curry appearance, the clip also features demonstrations of the smartphone’s improved 12MP iSight camera and new Live Photos feature. Foxx, unable to make a decision, then uses “Hey Siri” to ask the virtual assistant to flip a coin to help him decide.
This weekend, Apple posted a handful of new advertisements for its recently launched iPhone 6s (and 6s Plus) handsets online, showcasing improvements to both Siri and the built-in Camera application.
The other short ad featuring Foxx demonstrates Siri’s capability to process conversational interactions, which have now been augmented by Apple through the “Hey Siri” hands-free technology. Because now you just say “Hey Siri” and Siri’s there, hands-free. As we’ve detailed previously, the iPhone 6s’ new M9 motion coprocessor lets users activate Siri even when the device isn’t plugged in and charging.
“Hey Siri, how do I look?” says Jamie Foxx as he ties a tie in the mirror. “Sci-fi western it is”, Foxx concludes. Foxx starred in a similar iPhone 6s ad for 3D Touch earlier this month, while a series of Apple Watch ads have been released on two occasions focused on Apple Music, Apple Pay, Siri and messaging, fitness, maps and more.
