Apple products are most popular in Target’s Black Friday sale
Black Friday 2015 got into swing with big sale promotions, but the doorbusters follow days of heavy discounts already on store websites. Traffic appeared better at KORS given the store did appear more promotional with two walls of older handbag styles on sale at 25%, a wallets and accessories wall on sale at 25% off + extra 30% off, and select footwear and apparel on sale at 25% off. “Demand outpaced 2014’s record Thanksgiving performance, making it Target’s biggest day for online sales yet”, the retailer said in a recent statement.

The record-breaking sales online were driven by three items: the Apple iPad, the Apple Watch, and the Wii U gaming console, the company said.

Movies were a big hit in stores with guests buying more than 3 million on Thanksgiving. But that also meant that out-of-stock rates were more than double the normal level with some items such as Crayola Super Art Coloring Kit, Barbie in Rock ‘N Royals Super Star Limo, and some Star Wars products being hard to find in stock online.
Target’s “10 Days of Deals” continues through December 1.
Beats Solo 2 headphones were one of the top sellers on Target.com and in stores at $96.99 (reg. $199.99).
Target said sales on its online site were strong on Thanksgiving, a trend it hopes bodes well for Black Friday weekend shopping.
