Apple releases iOS 10.1.1 update that fixes the Health app bug
There are 72 new emoji included in the update. Public Beta versions of the operating systems mentioned here should be available to the rest of the world in the next 24 hours. Have a look at 14 of the new features and changes in this brief hands-on video walkthrough.
There’s also a chance that improvements to Portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus are present, but there’s no promise. The update seems to have ironed out numerous peculiarities with the UI animations, although it’s still not 100% flawless.
iOS 10.2 includes a new “Celebrate” screen effect for the Messages app, and more than a hundred new emoji.
Of course, it’s possible that people will continue to use the new peach to signify butt, even if the peach emoji completely evolves past its resemblance to the body part. How’s that for variety? But you’re no regular user, which is why you can bask in the glory of a new wallpaper right now.
Similar to the Netflix widget, the new Videos widget shows you the programme or film you’re watching, and with a tap you can jump straight back into it without opening up the app. Check that you have the iOS 10.0.2 update file. Alternatively, you can check for the update via the Dev Center. As in the previous iOS, there was a slide to unlock option, so in the new iOS 10, the slide option has gone. You can then select Download button and update iPhone or iPad. Also, keep in mind that jailbreak-able variants of iOS can not be a destination for your downgrades. The update fixes the bugs on a specific issue with the Health app, where some data was not showing. From there, a 3D Touch on a track will bring up the option for rating a song. Also, it saves you from having to physically type *face palm* like all the cool kids on Gchat circa 2006.
Just hours after releasing iOS 10.1.1, Apple has published the first beta of iOS 10.2 to its developer portal. It has been months already and a working Jailbreaking tool for iOS 10 has yet to surface.
