Apple Releases Public Beta of iOS 9 for iPhone and iPad
No worries…i’m going to break it down for you.
But there’s another way to get hold of the new beta, if you’re willing to take the risk. It’s a beta for a reason.
As to what users can expect to see in Apple’s newest operating system, some of its major features include a more active virtual assistant. Good. The more the merrier, as they say.
Probably the biggest update so far is that the entire touchscreen is now capable of being converted into a touchscreen by simply using a couple of fingers together to activate a cursor which will make it easier for you to select text or edit/format selections. The public beta is now available for anyone to download, although Apple recommends that users first back up their devices and/or use secondary devices in case the preview OS has errors or functional problems.
It’s advised to back up your current iOS data. Don’t worry about losing these apps though – the system will ask for your permission first and install them again right after. This means users could lose their entire iTunes purchase history and phone backups-or worse, get locked out of their phones entirely… forever!
Apple already has a two-factor authentication system built into iOS, but the new changes will enable you to recover your Apple ID much more easily if your device is lost or stolen. Scroll down to step two under the iOS section and tap the Download Profile button.
To download either or both OSes, visit the Apple Beta Software Program webpage, which is performing very slowly on this first day of operations. Enter your device PIN code when prompted, then accept the terms and conditions.
Restrictions: In General -> Settings -> Restrictions there’s a new logo for Siri & Dictation.
Also, unlike the previous software updates, the iOS 9 will not require the hefty amount of storage space, instead only 1.3GB space. iOS 8 required 4.58GB, and that wasn’t fun for users to have the 16GB devices. She is also capable of connecting you directly with the recently launched Apple Music.
Apple will be issuing updates periodically to iOS 9 over the next few months.
