Apple reveals iPhone sales rise in latest results
The expansion in the availability of Apple Watch and all time records for Mac sales and revenue from services had a lot of contribution.
Looking forward, one of the most interesting things to watch will be how Apple’s iPhone sales fare going into 2016. According to the company, 48 million iPhones were sold in the three-month period ending September 26.
Apple is reported to have earned more than $51 billion and had a net profit of more than $11 during this quarter, which is the last of the current fiscal year. By contrast, this year’s versions offered just incremental improvements, and a few analysts fretted that Apple would be hard-pressed to top last year’s sales. Cihra estimates over half of the almost 500 million iPhone users by year’s end will not have upgraded to a larger-screen iPhone. Revenue climbed to $51.5 billion, which is up by 22 percent compared to the year before. Last month, Apple introduced its newest generation of iPhones the 6s and sibling 6s Plus.
He did not say whether Apple planned to roll out the program to other markets but noted that similar plans were offered in over a dozen other countries.
“We believe that iPhone will grow in Q1 and we base that on what we are seeing from an [Android] switcher point of view”, Cook said, according to a Seeking Alpha transcript.
The company has sold over 48 million iPhone units for the period, which it stated were “record sales for Q4”, though this data did fell short of analysts’ projections. But in recent quarters, Apple has made a concentrated effort to court enterprise customers, modifying iOS to make it more attractive to businesses, and partnering with other firms to help drive sales.

Now that everybody on earth knows they want an iPhone, Apple can focus on pushing them into every office.
