Apple’s iOS 10 Replaces ‘Slide to Unlock’ with “Press Home to Open”

Apple’s new operating system was introduced during the annual developer conference in San Francisco, the company has added several new features.

Uninstalled apps can always be re-downloaded from the App Store, but the ability to remove them lets you free up space on your mobile device by getting rid of apps you rarely use. The Reddit user, MaGNeTiX, wrote in the post that after parking his vehicle at home a notification popped up on his device screen with details about where the auto was being parked.

Pretty soon you’ll be able to delete pre-installed apps – sometimes called “bloatware” – from your iPhone, thanks to an iOS update.

Once you install the profile, you will see that your device will restart during the operation.

It is safe to say a lot of iOS users consider Game Center one of the more useless stock apps on their Apple devices. Being able to delete unwanted apps altogether is a logical step.

Which built-in apps can you remove?

Apple did not follow the simple mechanism in which you used to place your finger on the home button for opening the phone.

Apple Pay is also going to be arriving with macOS Sierra, but users will have to use the fingerprint scanner included in their iPhone or iPad to authorize these payments.

Now press the home button to get back to the regular home screen.

If you tidy your iPhone or iPad apps into folders, you’ve likely got one full of the native apps that you’ve never even touched. Google does the same thing by allowing core applications like the dialer, keyboard and Google Now to be updated independently from the Android operating system.

Apple also notes that there may be some unintended consequences to removing some apps.
