Apple’s OLED iPhone 8 might not be ready until November or later
The latest to join the fray is noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who was slightly more explicit than others.
Will you be waiting for the iPhone 8 regardless of the delays? Sohail suggested this could be an adjusted feature of the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 created to enable users to press the power button comfortably. “Depending on the adoption, the phone’s launch schedule could be adjusted”.
“Significant hardware upgrades” are the reason for the hold up.
A quick refresher if you don’t keep up with the iPhone-rumor-industrial complex: Apple will be releasing one more phone than usual this fall.

Ahead of its grand launch, numerous mockups of Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) upcoming flagship iPhone model have surfaced the net. Kuo’s statement this Monday suggests that Apple does not have issues getting the two traditional iPhones ready for release. According to Forbes, the public sale of the high-end device could be pushed back to the end of November 2017.
Howe, Kuo’s news is not the first time a delay has been mentioned. They echo the reports made by a number of online news outlet in recent weeks.
The schematics also says that Apple will add quite a few components towards the bottom of the phone, including a Taptic Engine and 3D Touch module, and two standalone 3D Touch modules that would flank a fingerprint reading component (in blue above the Lightning port).
As in previous images, the device has a near edge to edge display.
However, over the long term, Kuo believes that the mass production delay and subsequent supply shortage will not undermine the demand for the iPhone 8. Apple has explored equipping an augmented reality-based features and depth-of-field enhancements to its iPhone camera system.
