Apple to launch new iPhone, iPad on March 15
It is expected to come with Apple’s latest A9 and M9 processors and an NFC chip for Apple Pay.
APPLE IS GEARING UP to release the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 on 18 March, according to reports. Sources told 9to5mac Apple will likely not accept pre-orders for the products, though that could change as the date approaches. It has already been confirmed that Apple will be hosting an announcement event mid-March but now we also have an apparent release date for the company’s two upcoming devices. “Perhaps with the rollout of new Apple Watch bands, such as new” Sport Band colors, a Space Black Milanese Loop, and NATO-style nylon bands”, this upgrade cycle marks a new strategy from Apple, who typically announces its smartphones in September.
It’s an open secret now that Apple Inc.is planning to unveil the iPhone 5se and iPad Air next month.
While we’ve all been preoccupied with the iPhone 7, the iPhone 5se has gone largely unnoticed – and it looks like it could be here much sooner than Apple’s flagship phone.
A March release for Apple would also see it capitalise on the heightened interest in the mobile device market following Mobile World Congress next week.
Speculation involving Apple’s plan of holding a special media event in mid-March have already been surfacing in tech rumor mills for a while.
The iPad Air 2 launched last October 2014, and since then it has not been succeeded.
The iPad Air 3 is said to take a few features from the iPad Pro, including four speakers (two on the top and bottom edges), as well as a magnetic Smart Connector to connect Smart Keyboards.
Under the hood, this slate is believed to come powered by an Apple A9X SoC and backed by a solid 4 GB of RAM.
Other than that, the new iPad variant will be equipped with an improved camera system, a rear flash for brighter photo captures, and an A9 processor.
Investors hoping for an iPhone 7 launch to jump-start the company’s fortunes will need to wait a lot longer.
