Apple Unveils Slew of New Products
A year after Apple rolled out iPhones with larger screens, touching off a frenzy of sales that saw revenue in the most recent quarter increase 32.5 per cent from the same quarter a year ago, the latest upgrades may leave some investors and consumers underwhelmed.
Apple claims, 3D Touch would be able to differentiate between types of touches and taps in preloaded apps and also on the homescreen.
Apple has completely changed the camera on the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, giving it much higher resolution and 4K video. The device will come in silver, gold and space grey. That’s how Apple described the iPad Pro as the device finally made its debut. Adobe’s Eric Snowden was also present during the event to give a demo of Adobe’s iPad Pro apps, including Photoshop Fix, a new retouching tool.
While skeptics may say that’s just Apple hyping its chips, the company has become one of the premier global processor designers.
The device will go on sale in November.
The display also packs more pixels than any iPad to date: 5.6 million to be exact.
The iPad Pro comes with a magnetic connector for the new Smart Keyboard cover, a cover for your iPad with a built-in physical keyboard.
Apple Inc. announced a bigger iPad with a new keyboard and stylus aimed at business customers. It stays with the same 2048 x 1536 display, and the prices for the various versions haven’t increased: a model with 16GB of storage sells for $399, one with 64GB is $499, and a 128GB version is $599.
The new iPad Pro arrives about a month later and looks to rival the Microsoft Surface Pro. The event also included some important details regarding the company’s new iOS 9 operating system. These “Live Photos” can be taken at any time, set as wallpapers and be viewed on any Apple device. The iPad Pro is 6.9mm thin and comes with the standard 10 hour battery life that all the recent iPads have been offering.
There’s a new “Hey Siri” voice assistant upgrade that allows you to use the feature even when the phone isn’t charging.
In a rather meagre 30-second announcement, Apple stated that the base model of the iPad Mini 4 will cost $399 and the tablet possesses all the power that the iPad Air 2 has got.
