Apple Unveils The iPad Pro

Apple AAPL, -1.92% introduced two new iPhones: iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

Although the new iPhone 6S doesn’t really seem to be much of a leap from the original iPhone 6, its new features of a 12MP camera that can record 4K video and the 3D Touch features can prove to be tempting and inviting.

The current generation Apple TV will still be available, for £69 – but there’s no news on whether an upgrade will be available to the new tvOS.

It will register varying levels of pressure, and respond differently depending on how hard you press it. For example, touching the screen for a long time allows for shortcuts around the iPhone, which will make for quicker interactions within apps without having to open them. Apple has its first stylus in the Apple Pencil.

The firm’s chief Tim Cook called the iPad Pro the “biggest news in iPad since the iPad” as he unveiled the device on stage at the live event in San Francisco.

The iPhone maker also announced the iPad Pro and Apple TV, while making eight major announcements. When you take a photo with the 6s or 6s Plus, the iPhone camera will also capture the moments before and after that still image was taken.

If you’re planning to buy a new phone under an installment plan, prices start at $27 and $31 a month, respectively.

The iPad Pro is the largest iPad ever offered by Apple at 12.9-inches diagonally.

Both of the new phones will include the 3D Touch that the Apple Watch already has. New color options will now be available for its existing range of silicone and leather cases which are compatible with the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus as well as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The unlocked iPhone 6S Plus will cost $649, $749 and $849 for the 16, 32, and 64GB variants.
