Apple unveils waterproof Apple Watch

As predicted, the new iPhones closely resemble the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and do not have a 3.5mm headphone jack (a first on any iPhone).

A new Jet Black model has a brand new glossy enclosure that does away with the antenna lines. These are made of aluminum.

The handset will come in a range of colors which include silver, black, gloss black, gold and rose gold and it features a new force sensitive home button with TouchID and the home button comes with a new Taptic engine. Its players have walked more than 4.6 billion kilometers.

The screens are also 25 percent brighter and deliver a wider range of colors and increased contrast. The Oregonian points out Apple released the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S on the third Friday of September the past two years, and it stands to reason the tech giant will do the same for the iPhone 7 by putting it in stores Sept. 16.

The world’s best-known technology company said the iPhone 7, starting at $649, would have one, zooming 12-megapixel camera. This allows for the 7-plus to zoom up to 10x, a feature previously only available on a professional camera.

The cameras are also a lot faster to autofocus and shoot.

The front-facing FaceTime camera is now 7-megapixels (up from 5-megapixels). And the new phones should also allow for better pictures at night.

New software: Apple previewed major updates for all its operating systems – iOS 10 for the iPhone and macSierra for Mac computers – this summer at its developer conference. Amazon quickly deactivated links to iPhone 7 cases, which would have revealed more details of the new design.

The company also introduced a new generation of smartwatches that will include Global Positioning System tracking and enough water resistance to swim with, part of its effort to boost sales in its newest product line. That’s good enough to be submerged in up to 3.2 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The phone will have one speaker on the top of the phone and one at the bottom.

Apple typically gives its main product, which accounts for more than half of its revenue, a big makeover every other year and the last major redesign was the iPhone 6 in 2014.

“Most people’s two-year contracts are nearing the end, so I think the iPhone 7, just from a replacement basis, will be a successful launch”, he said. The iPhone 7 Plus also comes in the same storage models: 32GB ($769), 128GB ($869) and 256GB ($969).

IOS 10 and watchOS 3 will be available on September 13.
