Apple Watch 2 announcement expected at March event, iPhone 6c also rumored
The Daily Mail reported that Apple will be having an event in March 2016 to introduce their brand new Apple Watch 2 together with their Apple iPhone 6c, their mini 4-inch iPhone 6 version.
A sub-$500 iPhone would be great to see, but we’re taking Kuo’s report with a grain of salt for now, as we’re not sure whether Apple would charge that little for an iPhone.
Other features could include a camera for video calls, sleep tracking and more features for using the Apple Watch when not paired to an iPhone.
Rumors are rife that the Apple Watch 2 would arrive with the same form factor as the first generation smartwatch.
Apple used to hold March events to introduce new iPads, but past year the company’s March event only offered more details about the Apple Watch.
That shouldn’t be too surprising – considering Apple held a “Spring Forward” event last March for the first Apple Watch.
Experts believe that Apple will extend the features of the current Apple Watch, as well as add features that were missed on the first-generation smart wearable device. There are some who claim that it will be the iPhone 6c but as mentioned in one of our previous post, it could be known as the iPhone Mini.
Apple released new colors, bands, and software features for the Apple Watch in September. 9to5Mac cites sources “familiar with the plans” that say Apple is planning a March product event.
According to the report, the iPhone 6c will still retain the same screen size, which is 4 inches. Another report suggests new iPhone to will be available in colourful metallic designs. Or if you prefer a different material, the same $100 discount also applies to the stainless steel Apple Watch at Best Buy – bringing its starting price down to $449. Of these, only the iPhone 5s can still be purchased today. The A8 processor is likely to be Apple’s choice for powering this new iPhone, rather than the A9 in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
