Appropriately Named PC Version of the Original Disgaea is Coming to Steam
The first game in the Disgaea series is heading to Steam, NIS America have announced, under the creative title of Disgaea PC.
The japanese RPG series Disgaea is pretty popular over in console land, and so developers Nippon Ichi Software have chose to bring it to the PC.
The first entry in the Disgaea franchise will receive a variety of improvements on PC, including all of the extra content found in different versions of the game.
Hour of Darkness was first released in 2004 on PlayStation 2, so it’s only just over a decade we’ve had to wait.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was also ported to PSP and Nintendo DS in the past, the PC version will feature all of the exclusive content found in these versions.
If you’re not familiar with Disgaea, it’s set in the Netherworld, and stars the demon prince Laharl on a quest to become Overlord.
Optimized for PC: The development team has taken special care to optimize the world of Disgaea for the PC with support for a myriad of screen sizes, new keyboard and mouse controls, updated tile textures, as well as an optimized user interface. For new players, and fans of the series alike, this will be the version to have in your collection. Finally, Steam features such as Achievements, Cloud Saves, Badges, and Trading Cards will all be included in Disgaea PC.
