Arctic Chill Expected This Weekend
Our best bet for snow to stick will be up in the high country – western slopes looking at the possibility of a few inches.
Sunday morning will bring a slight chance for flurries and light rain for the Upstate, while the mountains will see some snow showers.
Today: Mostly sunny skies to finish off the work week with above average temperatures in the upper 50s.
Saturday will be dry and partly sunny before an arctic front arrives early Sunday.
SUNDAY: Another weak disturbance will clip the far northern portion of the state by late weekend. A day to bundle up if you plan to spend the holiday outdoors. The timing of the rain looks to occur from 3 p.m. through about midnight. Check the 10-Day Forecast for the chilly numbers.
Monday will be a ideal day with abundant sunshine and no chance of rain!
The cold weather will continue for Tuesday with morning lows in the upper-20s and highs in the upper-40s. Some areas north of I-10 could have patchy frost early Monday morning, and possibly south of I-10 in some areas. This will make it feel like the upper teens and lower 20s through the afternoon.
Scattered showers will be possible Wednesday into Thursday as the next weather maker impacts our region. Rain will be likely on Friday, so the rivers may hold steady for much of next week. Rain Heavy at Times. But the big story heading into next week will be gusty winds along with a prolonged period of arctic cold.
