Ariana Grande’s grandma helped her beat Taylor Swift for an AMA

You may have noticed that Grande’s name has been trending on social media. Not only did they praise her onstage performance, but they also praised the 22-year-old singer’s new hairdo.

It all began when she started off her day, letting us know she was feeling under the weather. She added jewelled Dsquared2 shoes and chose a chic bun over her normal half-up half-down hairstyle.

It turns out Ariana’s Nonna has the sweetest message ever, and according to Ariana, she was the inspiration behind her platinum blonde hair in “Focus”.

Family is what matters most, Ariana Grande has shown. In the video, Ari rocks silver hair and some new-found confidence. Another fan @terrorscourage said, “ARIANA LOOKS SO GOOD”.

An excited Grande didn’t forget grandma once she got to the podium, telling the crowd that it’s probably her vote that helped her beat out her fellow nominees Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor.

“I really have no idea what to say”, Grande said. I’m not asking for you to focus on my clothes, or my face, or my body, or my singing voice.

Big band horns and a barrage of backup dancers backed Grande up as she belted her song for one of the biggest performances of the night.
