Arizona dismisses RB Bradford after arrest on seven felony counts
Arizona sophomore RB Orlando Bradford was dismissed following his arrest on domestic violence charges. The incidents occurred over the last several days, which is the cause of Bradford being charged with multiple counts, Dugan said.
Bradford faces three counts of domestic violence kidnapping and four counts of domestic violence aggravated assault.
When Bradford appeared in court, the victim spoke, saying that the 20-year-old should not be released on bond because he would be a threat to the public.
“Earlier today, we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested”, Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement Wednesday. According to Lev, he was a co-starter with Nick Wilson on Arizona’s depth chart.
So far this season, Bradford had gotten just five carries while scampering for a mere 16 yards.
In Bradford’s absence, Arizona outlets expect freshman J.J. Taylor to be the team’s No. 2 running back.
The alleged assaults happened over the last couple of days but Bradford was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is now in jail.
