Ark: Survival Evolved sells two million copies
In fact, a press release today reveals that action title ARK: Survival Evolved has now surpassed two million sold copies.
That’s a lot of sales for an early access game and goes to show that if you provide regular updates and are communicative with your community, people might just buy your game. The survival, crafting, adventure, avoid dickish players (I like to call them ARKseholes )online game is an intriguing one to play – provided you have a beastly machine.
People interested in hopping into this Early Access game will be happy to hear that it is now on a 33% discount again for $19.99 on Steam Early Access. GameStop in America now sells POSA Steam cards for the title, and Studio Wildcard wants to expand this into a disc version. VRFocus reported on ARK: Survival Evolved receiving a significant expansion by adding two new biomes, snow and swamp, greatly increasing the scope and type of real estate and adding complexity to the environment and AI behaviour.
In celebration of the milestone the dev took to Reddit for a AMA, in which it confirmed the Xbox One Game Preview Program edition will be launching this winter, so “start warming up your Xbox Ones”.
