Arrest made in San Diego homeless attacks probe
It was not immediately clear if either beating this morning was related to a similar beating in the East Village on Wednesday, a series of assaults on at least a half-dozen transients around Westfield Horton Plaza last month or a spree of attacks around San Diego that left three homeless men dead and a fourth gravely injured.

Friday’s first attack happened near 13th and A streets. A few hours later, police discovered the body of Shawn Longley, 41, who bled from the upper torso and died.
The brutal attacks have chilled the homeless community in the southern Californian city and put intense pressure on police.
