Arrow producers want guest appearance from Matt Ryan’s Constantine in season 4
When NBCs Constantine was on the air, it never had the opportunity to cross over with other shows, but it nearly did.
Arrow producers aren’t letting fellow DC Comics series Constantine’s cancellation kill their hope for a crossover. Constantine is, after all, a master of magic and expert on mysticism.
Executive producer Wendy Mericle spoke with IGN and revealed that she’s optimistic that John Constantine, in particular Matt Ryan’s version could make his way to The CW. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100% if it’s going to happen.
Amell added to that, saying “Fingers crossed”.
“There’s a lot of desire on everyone’s part…”
“Yeah, we really want to do it,” said Mericle. The character is also said to be involved in Warner Bros.’ planned feature Dark Universe, which will team John Constantine with Swamp Thing, The Demon, Deadman, The Spectre and the father/daughter pair of Zatara and Zatanna, though the project recently lost director Guillermo del Toro due to schedule conflicts with Pacific Rim 2. Smell has previously stated that he had been in talks to appear on the second season of “Constantine” looking for information about the famed Lazarus Pit.
“Arrow” is set to return to our screens in October and it was confirmed at Comic Con this past weekend that when the show does return, Oliver will be known as The Green Arrow.
Also, Comicbook claims that a new party is interested in a Constantine season 2, so fans can keep a lookout for that as well.
What are your thoughts?
Could his guest appearance parlay him into a season 2 somewhere?
