Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow
With the introduction of new heroes, the producers also announced that the Legends of Tomorrow would also be facing off against TV’s first-ever team of Super-Villains: the Legion of Doom, who fans will recognize as Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). This upcoming fall season, the DC roster on the channel will expand to include the second season of previously CBS Supergirl, joining Arrow, The Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
In Legends of Tomorrow, the Justice Society of America is made up of Vixen, Citizen Steel, Obsidian, Stargirl, and Dr. Mid-Nite. It’s not a major leap of the imagination that a show focusing on a superhero team would see the arrival of not only another superhero team, but a club comprised of villains, but it’s still exciting to hear about nonetheless.
“For Season 2 of ‘Legends,’ we decided that the flawless antagonist for TV’s first-ever team of superheroes would be TV’s first-ever team of super-villains, recruited from the ranks of Arrow and The Flash’s deadliest adversaries”. With new threats and challenges to face into the coming season, the team will have some serious work to do.
What are you most excited about season 2?
Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) is going to be causing mayhem for the Legends on season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
The news came during DC’s Legends of Tomorrow panel with Executive Producers Marc Guggenheim and Phil Klemmer introducing returning cast members Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter, Time Master), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer, The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance, The White Canary), Victor Garber (Martin Stein, half of Firestorm), Franz Drameh (Jax Jackson, the other half of Firestorm), and Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory, Heat Wave). We don’t get to see much of the JSA (except for Hourman) or the Legion of Doom, so we have more to look forward to in the future. Interestingly, Guggenheim revealed that he will be appearing as “Mayor Oliver Queen”, not the Green Arrow.
