Arsenal boss Wenger: Wilshere will get beyond injury woes
However, on consulting the specialist, who oversaw Wilshere’s injury ravaged career, it has been mooted that the player can return to first team action after the global break, which shall come as a major boost for Arsene Wenger.
Last Friday it was confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere would miss the first four weeks of the season after sustaining a hairline fracture to his ankle, having played just 219 competitive minutes for his club this year.
Before this latest setback Wilshere had told ArsenalFan TV that he was looking forward to long hard season of between eight and ten games.
As there is no doubting Wilshere’s huge potential, he broke into the Arsenal team and became the youngest ever league debutant at the age of just 16 years and 256 back in 2008.
And Wenger believes there is always a risk of the 23-year-old picking up knocks because of the way he tempts defenders into challenges.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is not concerned by Jack Wilshere suffering another injury and the Frenchman is confident it will have no impact on his player’s game.
“We are all programmed through our education to deal with situations in a way we are used to”. Sometimes because he has a good burst he can get out of challenges.
“I think Jack has a born football brain and a creative brain”.
And though he is on the sidelines again, Wenger has insisted that there is no cause for alarm.
The manager says he believes that Wilshere’s ankle had not completely recovered after having screws removed in the off-season, and that has contributed towards the fracture.
He suffered an ankle injury last season in a game against Manchester United in November and spent over three months out of the side as he recovered slowly. “His ankle is perfectly alright”.
What you expect is that you give your best in every single game and we are determined to do that. “They create a little weakness and that’s where he got hurt”.
