‘Arsenal can win the Premier League title,’ says Jack Wilshere
Wenger: “Everybody’s ambitious – never has the Premier League been gifted with so many ambitious people or clubs at the start of the season”.
Claudio Ranieri’s side completed a remarkable triumph, leaving Wenger and his side second and still without a league title since 2004.
Now Wenger will have to make adjustments before the season opener against Liverpool next weekend.
‘This season, we can’t let that happen and if we don’t let that happen we can be champions’.
Nobody”, he said. “Today, you have to take into account seven or eight teams who can win it.
“Obviously you want to be playing in the games, it is always hard when you go to the Emirates and you are not playing but life goes on and you have to work every day to try get back”. We have to get them ready for the new season.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 8-0 friendly win over Norway’s Viking FK, Wenger told Arsenal’s official website that he is willing to pay over the odds: “The price of a player is down to four ingredients”. It’s a little bit of a world championship of managers.
“That’s part of the game as well, you want the spectacular players to come to the Premier League, but that means young players lose that opportunity to get a chance”. “I see the same hunger, if not even more”.
“I think we improved every game in pre-season”.
The Frenchman said: “He has a very big year ahead – I must say his preparation was encouraging”.
So it looks like Wilshere is set to miss the start of the new campaign but he’ll be desperate to get back up to full fitness as soon as possible after missing virtually the whole of last season with a fibula injury.
“What I will do is continue to work as long as I have the physical potential to work, no matter in what kind of position”, he said.
“You can say we’re exhausted but that’s no reason to play like that and we know we can do better”, Can was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
“He’s been great over the years, he’s a top manager”. Bellerín is now Wenger’s unquestionable first choice on the right and considered one of the league’s best defenders.
“He just keeps going each year”.
