Arsene Wenger says he could manage England “one day”
As the game entered added-on time, Sanchez squandered another chance from inside the penalty area as Vaclik pulled off yet another block to deny the Chilean but Arsene Wenger will be content with securing three points to match Paris Saint-Germain’s victory over Ludogorets Razgrad.
Walcott recently revealed that a conversation with Wenger during the summer had helped him to find his best form again, following a disappointing last campaign.
The winger appears to be thriving on his newfound confidence and Wenger noted: “He’s ready to fight, to commit and straight away he gets the crowd behind him”.
Barcelona came from a goal down to beat Borussia Monchengladbach and make it two wins out of two in this season’s Champions League. “95 percent was up to him”, Wenger said.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said it is possible he could “one day” manage England if he had no club commitments. We created a lot of opportunities.
“Clean sheets are going to win games because we’re going to score plenty of goals”, Walcott said. We did the same sort of thing as in the first half against Chelsea.
” It’s down to hard work, but also to belief”.
The Arsenal boss was briefly linked with the job before Allardyce was appointed so as you would expect, the speculation has been given fresh life in the last few days. “Last year we came off beating Leicester with a very good result, played Olympiakos and we lost”.
“Now it’s down to us to continue to improve”.
“The second half was better for us but it could have been 3-0 before that”.
After Allardyce’s exit on Tuesday, reports have suggested the FA will return for the 66-year-old Frenchman to take charge of the national team for the 2018 World Cup.
“This has always been my club”, Wenger, who will celebrate 20 years at Arsenal on Saturday, told reporters. Who could have predicted that 48 hours ago? “Nobody”, he said. “But the English game is always full of surprises”.
“It’s all hypothetical of course but I could not turn my back on this club”. And I am completely focused on that. “We go out there and want to win the mental battles first, to put the opposition on the back foot”.
It has also been alleged by the Daily Telegraph that eight current and former Premier League managers took bungs.
