Ashlee Simpson ‘welcomes daughter’

Their star-studded extended family includes Ross’ mother, singer Diana Ross, and Simpson’s sister, Jessica Simpson. The pair was surrounded by family and friends, but have yet to release the baby’s name or any other details surrounding their daughter’s arrival. This is the first child for Ross, but the second for Simpson, who is already the mom to a six-year-old son named Bronx from her previous marriage to Pete Wentz.

Ashlee and Evan have been spotted out and about recently buying all the last minute things they need for the nursery.

Simpson has talked about telling her son about her pregnancy “early on”, explaining, “He wanted to have a sister, so he’s really excited!”

The source adds, “He can’t wait to be a dad”. The couple’s baby girl arrived on Thursday, July 30. “Ashlee is doing great and can’t wait to get home to to be with her family”. The actress revealed that he’s thrilled to become a big brother. “He thinks it’s cute – the tea parties – she’ll be adorable”.
