Ashley Madison hackers promise more attacks after likening website to ‘drug
Tuesday’s release had customer information that included U.S. government officials, British civil servants and high-level executives at European and North America corporations.
Although the details make for juicy gossip, Washington, DC, shouldn’t be surprised.
Hackers recently took member information, including emails, billing addresses and credit card information, and posted it online.

A couple of years ago, I went under cover (so to speak) on Ashley Madison and had a look around using a fake name and photo.

An Avid Life Media statement refers to the incident as an “attack”.
Top-ranking education officials were shocked at the appearance of so many accounts linked to school email addresses. Some spouses may choose to remain in the dark, which is a completely understandable choice, some marriage may end in divorce (also understandable), but then there is another question that remains to be answered: what about users who used their work email to sign up to the site?
M: What other data from Avid Life Media do you have? State Police found one e-mail, but it was a legitimate entry created as part of a sanctioned investigation.
In a statement issued in response to the release of the data, Air Chief Marshal Binskin said there was no evidence Australian-based systems or networks had been compromised. Two politicians from Louisiana have publicly apologized for their infidelities even though their names hadn’t been disclosed.
The hackers accuse its owners of deceit and incompetence and said the company had refused to bow to their demands to close the site. Finally we watched Ashley Madison signups growing and human trafficking on the sites. The group also released a manifesto that warned that if ALM did not take Ashley Madison and Established Men offline, they would publish all the customer data they possessed.
The DOJ attorney said that this was not the first time his data was breached – his credit card information was stolen earlier this year when the Office of Personnel Management was hacked.
Ashley Madison’s operators said this week, “The criminal, or criminals, involved in this act have appointed themselves as the moral judge, juror, and executioner, seeing fit to impose a personal notion of virtue on all of society”, adding that law enforcement agencies are now investigating the incident.
