Ashutosh slams Bajrang Dal activist for celebrating Kalburgi’s murder
Bajrang Dal co-convener in Bantwal taluka of Dakshina Kannada district, Bhuvith Shetty, on Sunday morning tweeted, “Then it was UR Anantamoorty and now it is MM Kalburgi”. Reacting to the tweet, the Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike, a forum for communal harmony, has urged the government to ban outfits whose members are found to have links to Kalburgi’s murder.
Speaking to Mirror, Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police Sharanappa S Dhage said, “We have tried to check his account, but he has deleted the same”. Mock Hinduism and die dogs (sic.) death.
Kalburgi, 77, was shot in the forehead from close range when he opened the main door of his house in Kalyan Nagar suburb, about 430 km north of Bengaluru.
However, Shetty denied any role in this killing saying his tweet was a spontaneous reaction to the incident.
The tweet also said that the next target is another thinker.
