Assassin’s Creed Syndicate launches for PC this November
Ubisoft has revealed a new bonus for fans that pre-order the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, with a new mission pack starring none other than naturalist Charles Darwin and writer Charles Dickens.
By delaying Syndicate until November on PC, hopefully Ubisoft can properly optimize the game for gaming PCs, something the company couldn’t achieve with their previous release, Assassin’s Creed Unity. Unlike most of the previous Assassin’s Creed games that have been released over the years, this one will not be accompanied by a multiplayer mode, Ubisoft has confirmed. First stop, Assassin’s Creed.
It’s definitely going to be polished, optimized and stabilized then.
The video highlights the Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy, which lets players embark on missions for “two of the greatest minds of the industrial revolution”. Moreover, the company’s willingness to hold Syndicate back suggests it is ready to make tough decisions if they benefit the player on a technical level. Our time with the game thus far has shown an evolved formula that focuses on faster traversal, more intimate combat, and a unique storytelling dynamic. Couple that with the fiasco surrounding Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight PC version, and their next assassination simulation, set in Victorian London, is a potential disaster just waiting to be averted. Which version will you buy, if at all?
PC versions of Assassin’s Creed have nearly universally been trash, suffering either from lack of optimization and loads of glitches, or shoehorned DRM and delayed releases.
