Aston Villa sign Jordan Veretout from Nantes on five-year deal

Gestede signs for Villa on an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of around £7million and the Benin global has signed on a five year deal with the Premier League side.

Hull City and West Brom were put off by the £6m price tag, according to Sky sources, but Villa boss Tim Sherwood snapped up one of his top targets.

“I’ve had a chat with him and he knows he’s been a bit of a slow developer in the mental side of the game”.

Antalyaspor are interested in signing Aston Villa centre-half Philippe Senderos this summer. There’s a lot of choice for him.

Villa avoided relegation from the Premier League by three points last season and lost 4-0 to Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

While it seems Jordan Rhodes is the man attracting the silly money, it was Gestede who proved far more impressive for Blackburn last season, at least for Pies’ money.
