Asus to launch three new smartphones
Asus has announced plans for several new phones, including the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe and the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser. It also comes with a smaller 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating for extra protection.
However, the smartphone packs only a 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front.
OnePlus 2 runs under its own custom Android ROM, Oxygen OS.
Zenfone 2 Deluxe comes with a high-capacity, 3000mAh battery, and will come in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor. Also on offer is 8GB/16GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
The Asus Zenfone 2 has the same 13MP and 5MP cameras along with f/2.0 aperture.
It is worth noting that all the three smartphones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under ZenUI.
ZenFone Selfie: Asus had announced this selfie-focused smartphone at Computex last month. 0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro USB (support OTG) and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the other hand, OnePlus 2 features a 5.5 inch Full HD with screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, offering an in-cell display technology protected by Gorilla Glass shield. It runs on quad core processor which is based on qualcomm snapdragon 410 chipset and its processor is coupled along with 2GB of internal RAM. “It boasts an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with high-sensitivity BSI sensor, 5-piece Largan Wide FOV 75” lens, dual-color (Cool White + Warm light) LED flash and laser autofocus.
One of the unique aspects of Zenfone 2’s design is the placement of the Volume keys, which are placed on the back in hopes that it will be equally convenient for both left- as well as right-handed users to access them; however, we find the standard design – where the keys are placed on the edges – to be more convenient. The handset is fueled by a 2,070mAh Li-polymer removable battery.
Also featured are microSD card slot, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. There’s a whole family of products that Asus sells under the Zenfone 2 name, and now that family is getting a little bigger.
An octa-core Snapdragon 615 will provide the power to the Asus ZenFone Selfie, and that will be backed by your choice of 2GB or 3GB of RAM. And a 5MP PixelMaster front-facing camera for selfies and video calling option. Look-wise, it dons the same suit as the ZenFone 2.
