Asus Zenfone Go launched at Rs 7999

Asus has introduced its Zenfone Go at a price of Rs 7,999. The new ZenFone-series handset is now available via the company’s exclusive stores apart from other retail stores and Flipkart.
The lack of LTE will undoubtedly affect sales of the ZenFone Go, considering phones like the Redmi 2 Prime offer 4G on bands 3 (1,800MHz) and 40 (2,300MHz).
The Asus Zenfone Go has finally made its official India launch despite it previously showing up in August on Flipkart and the Asus India site.
Asus Zenfone Go runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 CPU with 2GB of RAM. It packs 8 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64 GB using a microSD card. On its camera front, Zenfone Go sports 8MP Autofocus rear camera and 2MP of front-facing camera.
Asus has provided Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system on the Zenfone Go with its Zen UI on top.
All of this is powered by a 2070mAH battery.
