At Donald Trump event, supporters clash with, spit on pro-immigration activists
Ahead of 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Friday night rally in Tyngsborough, the Massachusetts Democratic Party called on Gov. Charlie Baker Thursday to denounce the GOP front-runner’s stance on key issues.
“I watched last night as Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, they just couldn’t give away things fast enough”, Trump said in an apparent reference to the Democrats’ expression of support for affordable college and paid family leave, according to USA Today. “That’s why we have freedom of speech”. Bernie Sanders, calling the lawmaker a “maniac” and “socialist slash communist”.
Trump supporters have told immigrant activists to “clean my hotel room, bitch;” shouted “if it ain’t white, it ain’t right” while ripping up posters; told Latino USA citizens to “go home” while grabbing their hair and spitting on them; told prominent journalist and US citizen Jorge Ramos to “get out of my country;” joked “you can shoot all the people you want that cross illegally;” and beat up and urinated on the homeless.
At the heart of his message: America first, in the aftermath of an Obama presidency which Trump insists diminished United States standing worldwide.
Then came one troublemaking Trump lover, who spat in the face of one protester and yelled “F– you!” eight times in 11 seconds until fellow fans pulled him away, as seen in video from a reporter. They were quickly pushed to the back of the crowd by angry Trump supporters and escorted out of the building by Trump security officials and police officers.
Trump was a former host of “The Celebrity Apprentice” and wanted to build walls on US and Mexico border. He said thank you.
Trump made it clear that he intends to win the nomination and become the next president, saying otherwise the entire race would have been a waste of his time. What really matters, he said, is “the movement” that his presidential campaign has begun. “I call him a socialist/communist because that’s what he is”, Trump said to a boisterous crowd.
