At least 18 injured in San Francisco tour bus crash
An open-air tour bus has crashed in San Francisco’s Union Square and there appear to be several injuries.

Officials say there may have been as many as 30 people aboard the bus.
Six people were in critical condition, 12 were transported to area hospitals with various injuries and two were treated on the scene, said San Francisco Police Sgt. Michael Andraychak.
Fire officials said power lines are down in the area.
Chief Joanne Hayes-White says the most badly injured include a bicyclist who was mowed down by the speeding bus Friday afternoon.
Police say 19 people were hurt including five critically when an open-air tour bus crashed in San Francisco’s Union Square.
Investigators said the driver will be tested for drugs and alcohol.
Union Square is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions with several high-end shops as well as its Union Square Park and skating rink. “It is way too early to tell right now”, she said Friday.
The license for the company that operates the bus, City Sightseeing, was revoked in 2013, according to the Chronicle. She declined to provide further information, citing privacy issues. The scaffolding was in front of an upcoming Apple store. Wrecked cars were scattered up and down the street.
He said he and others tried to put up a perimeter to keep tourists and others away from the live electrical lines until authorities arrived.
