At least 20 killed in explosions in Turkish capital Ankara
Two explosions shook a road junction in the center of the Turkish capital Ankara on October 10, causing many casualties including fatalities, ahead of a “peace” meeting, Doğan News Agency reported.
Initial, unconfirmed reports said that 12 people were dead with dozens more injured.
Cause of the blast is not yet clear while suicide bombing is also suspected.
Turkish news agency Dogan said that at least 20 people have been killed. However it will take a few time to come out with a death toll.
Television footage showed ambulances rushing to the scene in central Ankara, while social media posts showed bodies lying in the streets.
The rally was being held to denounce the increasing levels of violence between Turkish security forces and Kurdish rebels.
