At least 21 dead in landslide in India
At least 21 people have reportedly been killed in landslide in Choumol village in Manipur’s Chandel district, bordering Myanmar.
“Six to seven houses came under the landslide and the village authorities informed us of about 20 casualties”, Singh said by phone.
Police reinforcements have reached the area and are trying to remove the rubble to find the missing people.
National Disaster Responce Force (NDRF) teams have been rushed to the affected areas, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, adding the Centre hs assured all help to the state administration.
